The 13th Cinéma Vérité announces retrospective lineup.

The 13th edition of the Cinéma Vérité, Iran’s major international documentary film festival, has announced retrospective lineup.

The Retrospective on Balkan & Baltic Countries section will screen ‘Home Games’ by Alisa Kovalenko from Ukraine, ‘The Immortal’ by Ksenia Okhapkina from Estonia and Latvia, ‘My Father, The Spy’ by Gints Grūbe and Jaak Kilmi from Latvia, as well as ‘Push-Pull’ by Neven Hitrec from Croatia.

The lineup goes on with ‘ReGeneration’ by Emir Kapetanovic from Bosnia and Herzegovina, ‘The Sun Sets in the East’ by Alexander Belinski and Agne Dovydaityte from Lithuania, as well as ‘Wild Berries’ by Marianna Vas and Hedda Bednarszky from Romania, Portugal and Hungary.

Organized by the Documentary and Experimental Film Center, the first edition of the Cinéma Vérité was held in 2007.

Over the past decade it has emerged as one of the important events on Iran's documentary film calendar.

The 13th edition of the Cinéma Vérité will be held on December 9-16, 2019.
